Messenger Detect is a packet sniffer that allows you to monitor IM chatter. There are many ways to detect Messenger conversations, but this is the most efficient one. You can install keyloggers and other applications that record conversations. However Messenger Detect does not need to be installed on target computers. All this application does is sit on your computer and monitor the traffic in your network. It will detect packets that come and go to MSN, AOL, ICQ or other clients. When you first run the application, it will ask you to determine what network you want to monitor. It will give you a list of network interfaces on your computer and all you have to do is click the one you want. After that, the application will start recording the conversations. If you want to see those in real time, you have to click the real time button at the top right corner. There is a nice little feature, called Read Mode, that allows you to have the application read the conversations as they come. This might not be a good idea if you want to be covert while using Messenger Detect, but its fun nonetheless.
